On October 11th I'll grab a train down to Kyoto to give a presentation about my novel and discuss self-promotion, with a focus on organizing a reading tour. The event will be held at The Gael Irish Pub in the Higashiyama district of Kyoto.
I have been invited to give a keynote session presentation in Hanoi, Vietnam, at the 7th Annual Engaging with Vietnam Conference. The conference runs from July 7-8 and will be held at the Hanoi University of Business and Technology.
I will be presenting on my novel to all-comers at the American Center of the US Embassy in Hanoi on July 6th at 3 p.m. It will be geared to Vietnamese speakers of English, but anyone is welcome to attend!
I have been asked to present on such topics as "American Perspectives on Contemporary Vietnam" and "Writing about Foreign Cultures," followed by an audience Q & A session.
Come catch me in Ottawa on June 6th when I'll take part in a panel discussion titled "Writing on Vietnam." Other panelists include Caroline Vu and Vincent Lam, and the panel will be moderated by Denise Chong.
I'll be in Montreal on June 3rd to take part in the Resonance Reading Series at the venerable Resonance Cafe.
On Friday, May 22nd, I will be reading from my novel Lotusland at Antigone Books in sunny Tucson, Arizona. Afterward you can catch me signing and selling copies.

I'll be visiting Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, for my very first book reading, followed by a Q&A session with CWRU students.
